Let the packing begin!

So, in less than three weeks, I’ll be in a plane again on my way to the USA. To be honest, I’m desperately in need of an holiday. It’s been too long. Since we have past the ‘less than three weeks’ mark, I decided it was time to start collecting things I might need. In other words, dozens of  ‘to do’ lists were born:

  • packing list
  • shopping list
  • to do list
  • travel schedules

And soooo on. I love lists. Perhaps that’s the problem. Anyways, I may have ended up packing my bags three weeks prior to departure. A few things still need to be added (and probably some things might end up staying home), but this process works for me and the holiday feeling makes me happy!

When looking at our trip, almost everything has been booked. A few loose ends still need to be dissolved, but we have finalized our route (CLICK!), the hotels and stop overs. We even managed to get some tickets to Jimmy Kimmel‘s talk show in LA.

Gotta love the internet. Last year, Twitter provided us the opportunity to meet Sasha Alexander (NCIS, Rizzoli & Isles, Shameless) and gave me the chance to went to Evangeline Lilly’s (Lost, the Hobbit, Ant-man) book signing in Vancouver. Now, we already have these tickets to a late night show and we don’t even know who’s going to be there (besides Kimmel). You never know what the future might bring during our travels. Fingers crossed.

Considering I’ve been to all of the major cities we’ll be visiting, it still is fun to go there. With the exception of New York City, I have only been to San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas once. So many things are yet to discover in these wonderful places. I personally love the fact when I sorta know my way around a place. It makes things easier the second (or fourth in case of NYC) around. Best things about this trip is visiting National Parks and let us not forget or short back to basics camping trip at the Grand Canyon south rim. No electricity for three days is going to be a fun challenge.

I’m still trying to think of an awesome idea for a photo challenge while travelling. So, if you have some ideas, please let me know! I need all the inspiration I can get. Until then, I’ll keep you posted. The only thing I don’t like so far about my upcoming travels is leaving home at 1.30am to be at the airport for check-in at 3.15am…

Have fun ladies. My favorite photo challenge: take a photo everyday at the same time, like 3 PM. The result is amazing! x
